USP?
Child abuse isn’t shown as much as spouses as such as well as emotional abuse, he also has a love interest which you don’t see that often abuse story’s
Trends/gaps in the market?
People still find abuse and uncomfortable subject so avoid it as such there’s not as many of these kind of stories out on the market. Some
Winter’s Bone, The Stepfather, Haunting of Hill House (Drop Dead Fred)

Audience
Primary= British, middleclass 18-60, potentially more women later in life who can deal with the harsh reality of certain things.
Demographic =  Middle class
Psychographic =  explorers or resigned, maybe older people or people who want to find out more information on the matter

Product intention?
Sending message like some of the happiest people are the saddest the exterior doesn’t always how what’s going on and some people need help, domestic abuse is a problem.
character briefs?
Name?Kai
Age? 17
Dramatic motivation? Hes sad and depressed and being treated badly and even though he still gives off a good exterior he shouldn’t have to deal with it
Role in the narrative? He struggles at home with his family so he leaves to try and find somewhere[i] to belong
Potential actor? Brandon Flynn, in 13 reasons why he gave off a laddish banter vibe and was popular but also could show of true raw emotion which I really like and I think could work well in this production.

Name? Bella
Age? 16
Dramatic motivation? She bored of life and is in love with kai and goes through a stage in which she just needs to break free
Role in the narrative?  Sweet and innocent in nature but is the generic nice posh-ish girl who wants to break her strict boundaries and daily routines
Potential actor? Taissa Farmiga , in previous things such as AHS she is a good child within reasons and gets mixed up in the antics of a troublephoebe to boy so she could be good for this role

Name? Rose(beautiful but thorny can’t get too close , physically and mentally)
Age?38
Dramatic motivation? Her life is a struggle and with many suicide attempts she just lives a slow empty life
Role in the narrative?  Broken by the years of abuse she has basically became a husk of the women she formally was and she “takes care” of her son minimally and waits hand and foot on her husband
Potential actor? Marisol Nichols I think would be good for this role as seen in Riverdale she is subjected to abuse due to her husband and although she’s strong in this tv show I would want her to appear weaker in this for dramatic effect.

Name? Steve
Age? 43
Dramatic motivation? Was in an orphanage when he was younger and his bunk mate sexually abused him causing himself to always have to reinforce his masculinity but being the tough hard man
Role in the narrative?  The ‘evil’ within the film and his role is to cause distress and pain for the characters and is the main reason the peace is disturbed
Potential actor? Gerard butler, stern looking an gives of an intimidating persona
